Tell MFR What You Think: the Cape Wind Windfarm

On April 28th, 2010, the US government approved the construction of Cape Wind, a 130-turbine windfarm off the shore of Cape Cod. While this is a positive step towards harnessing the power of renewable energy, its construction is not without controversy among many groups. Some residents feel that the windfarm will be an eyesore; Native American tribes claim that these turbines will disturb sacred ceremonies and sites; and even environmentalists are saying that the windfarm will adversely affect the habitats of marine life there.

We at MFR would like to know what you think about Cape Wind. For example, what are the pros and cons of building Cape Wind? And how can those in charge of building Cape Wind reconcile between these complaints? Discuss away!

It's a great idea and a great way to supply clean energy.

Whatever adverse affect it might have on the habitats of marine life there is a heck of a lot less then the adverse effects of an oil spill!

To those rich folks with waterfront property worried about their views I say wake up! Windmills are not eyesores they are beautiful!

Mark my words build the windfarms and tourist from around the world will want to come to the cape & see the pretty windmills!
