Various website and download problems - Haiti album.

The Topspin Customer Support page doesn't work inside either IE8 or Firefox 3 so I have no other avenue to explore beyond this forum for getting a fix to the download problems I am experiencing with the Haiti album.  The link sent by email will no longer let me try to download the album (presumably as I have tried so many times).  On the one occasion that the download seemed to go all the way to the end, Winzip 12 still told me the archive was invalid!
So, whilst the money is going to a good cause and this isn't a regular commercial transaction, I still feel greatly disappointed that I've not been able to get the music promised.  Great idea if it worked...

Finally got my email with the music files-- I got multiple emails actually. I suppose the organization was overload with download requests that it took a few days.

Understandable, I guess. Great, if so - more downloads = more donations, one hopes.

Latest news from UK is that Simon Cowell has been asked by Prime Minister Gordon Brown to release a single in aid of Haiti relief. So, maybe Mr Brown has downloaded Linkin' Park et al?? (;-)

Excellent to see musicians around the world performing for the benefit of these poor people.
ughhh
ive tried diffrent e mails and even diffent internet browsers
bt still it wnt load up and wen it dose it appears as zip.
i need help
Hi All --

Our apologies for the first day delays; Topspin's been aware of and on top of the issues since the launch. There was a volume related issue that happened within minutes of the site going live -- the good news is, literally thousands of people requested the media within the first 10 minutes, which is great news for Haiti. The downside was, during those first 10 minutes, some of the people got errors during download. We've since corrected all the issues, including the email deliverability that some folks mentioned, which only affected that first wave of folks.

We are currently investigating the zip complaints that some users have made; it seems to be issues with specific zip utilities and the zipfile that's being distributed. For OSX users, StuffIt is verified to work correctly, but there are reports of issues using OSX 10.6's archive utility. We'll continue to investigate, and correct any issues that may remain.

Thank you all for your support for Haiti and the Haitian people.

In Windows XP Pro, using the built-in compressed folder function through Windows Explorer to access the zip, I can't extract track 03. It says Error Copying File or Folder. The system cannot find the file specified. I verified this as an actual issue - no corruption occured during download - with a copy of the zip I had used successfully on my Mac at work, and a copy of the zip that I re-downloaded from home.

Any chance this will be released as a physical CD? I would love to purchase as a CD (so that I can have the music in uncompressed WAV CD quality).
Thanks Brandon, we'll make sure we test this operating system combination, and if we can track down a zipfile issue, we'll ensure that all users that were affected by it will receive download links to corrected media.

Best --

All the best!!
I have a MAC. It doesn't want to download either!
I use Firefox 3 and on my third attempt to download the music was successful. I chose to open with Winzip then it showed three options one in MAC download for itunes another for PC download for itunes and another for just download. So just try a couple of times and maybe this get it....It showed me the exact same message and I tried again! then again..lol Anyways I opened it and found the mp3's and dropped them to my desktop. Well good luck but yeah it seems to be a issue that needs some resolving.
We've located and resolved the issue with the download, all the fixes will be online within a half hour. You'll all be receiving a working download link via email. Thanks for your patience.

kk the link works nw bt it still downloads in zip
and it always goes to my windows photo gallery idk if im doin it right
can someone give derictions to this ????
I received the new link and it unzips no problem, but I received the same error message...that my version of OS-X is not supported. I even tried just adding the MP3s, but that didn't work either.
Maybe I bought after when this file error was occurring, since the first email I received yesterday morning downloaded and unzipped no problem with zip genius. Only funk I had was that the "meta-data" wasn't filled in for who sang what, so I had to manually fill it in from what was on the site and manually register a picture (aka the one on the site) since I'd like to listen to this music on my mp3 player.

Downloading good music for a good cause just doubles my days enjoyment.
