More trees!! Stop Global Warming!
Making it possible for international fans (For example Belgium) to volunteer during the next Linkin Park tour: we also want to do something!

Convincing a lot of festivals to add €1 extra to their ticket for music for relief
Hello Everyone,
I am new to the site, but am interested in getting involved as much as possible with these events.

Currently I am putting together some charity events for Chile Relief.

The events will be beginning in Hollywood, also surrounding areas (Vegas, Arizona, Colorado, etc)

I also have a tour I am planning with some GREAT bands to go to South America for some big shows, so I would like to intregrate Music For Relief in these opportunities.

Thanks!!! More details to come, or email me erica@musicfrenzyentertainment.com for info!!!
The effects of human emotional pain and trauma are universal and never-ending but we can create a life of meaning by facing the pain and helping others do the same. The Catalyst Foundation would like to help by partnering with MFR
hm... probably have some events where bands and volunteers that support music for relief to help do something together such as the tree planting and other things like that. It would get a lot of people to go.
Probably a massive Live 8 style event with loads of bands to get mainstream attention. I think that would help everyone learn about MFR, since it worked so well for Live Aid & Live 8.
Last year I organised a zero carbon caravan to Copenhagen - see zerocarboncaravan DOT net. This year I'm organising (or, to be more precise, getting other people to organise) a zero carbon world concert (actually a series of concerts, linked
together on the internet). Would MFR like to join in? You would have to do everything without using fossil fuels

I would like to somehow get colleges and universities involved. I think if people see other people donating and becoming active about these causes then it will cause more people to. And what better place then a busy college, for example Michigan State, where I am going now.

I would like to try and get a group of people to start promoting MFR with me to try and get more Spartans in on this.
How about a concert combined with an adopt a family box event. I envision this as an event where at the concert, booths are set up where we have the boxes set up of things that people in dire need would need...one booth can have boxes of food items...one can have toiletries....one can have other items, etc. People can donate by buying the box for a specific family that they choose to adopt. They pay for the contents, shipping and handling, so that it simply goes to the post office to be shipped. This way, all of the work to get supplies, and set up boxes, run booths, etc is donated, and the boxes are then paid for, and the aid goes totally to the people, with no percentage going in the pockets of anyone else. 100% aid goes to the recipient, minus postage, of course. And of course all of this would be in the St. Louis area. Get Sammy Hagar to do the concert, he sells out on every tour through St. Louis, and he proclaims St. Louis to be his favorite place to have a concert! We love Sammy!!!! If Sammy is reading this, how about it Sammy? What do you think?
This sounds awesome! Let us know how it went/is going. If you'd like MFR to be part of it, feel free to email Whitney at whitney@musicforrelief.org

Thanks!
