Darfur Schools of Peace: DPDO supports the operation of fourteen elementary schools in North Darfur and one elementary school in Chad, providing teacher salaries, supplies, and textbooks to continue the education of over 10,000 children affected by the ongoing conflict. DPDO also is constructing a high school in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.
Darfur Women's Centers: The Women’s Centers in Kassab IDP camp and Abu Shouk assist Darfurian women with the resources to resolve the consequences of sexual trauma. The program is holistic, integrating psychological, social, educational, and economic elements.
Darfur Solar Cooker program: The solar cooker, a simple technology that harnesses abundant sunlight in Darfur, helps free women from the risky task of firewood collection. DPDO is training Darfurian women in six locations to construct the cookers from local materials and to use them in their households.
