Two weeks after the earthquake and tsunami, Japan is still coping with the aftermath. The death toll reached 10,035 people, with 17,443 still missing, according to Japan's national police force.
One of Japan's biggest concerns currently is food and water. Anxiety over food and water supplies has soared due to warnings about radiation leaking from Japan's tsunami-damaged nuclear power plant into Tokyo's tap water at levels unsafe for babies over the long term.

Really want to send a thought and prayer to those in Japan. The issue and situations which Japan face moving forward is of concern to all. We are no longer an island here in the U.S.; moreover, no country is an island any longer. We all are now interconnected economically and socially. Therefore, every nation should recognize and assist as best they can in sending support be it monetarily or through other means.

Music for Relief and Tree Canada are planting of 1,981 trees thanks to funds raised at the the Vancouver and Montreal Linkin Park shows during their A Thousand Suns North American Tour. $1 of each ticket was donated to Music for Relief for tree planting and a fund for future disaster relief.
