LINKIN PARK, UN SECRETARY-GENERAL BAN KI-MOON DISCUSS HAITI ON FACEBOOK

On February 22, 2011 The United Nations Foundation hosted a Facebook town hall to discuss the ongoing rebuilding efforts in Haiti after last year's earthquake. The Town Hall was the first time UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has spoken alaongside members of a band about raising awareness about the relief efforts in Haiti.

During the event,  attendees were able to watch live and ask questions as representatives from the United Nations, members of Linkin Park, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the UN Foundation spoke about the latest developments in Haiti and ways for the public to keep promoting change and recovery for the Haitian people. Fans were also encouraged to participate in Music For Relief's Download To Donate campaign. During a private meeting after they left the Facebook Town Hall, Linkin Park and the Secretary-General explored ways Music for Relief and the United Nations can continue to work together to mobilize the public on global issues.

For those who missed the live chat on 2/22, you can watch a recording of it here.
